Obesity is taking the world by storm and is taking lives. Britain, also known as “the fat man of Europe”, has the highest level of obesity in Western Europe, ahead of countries such as France, Germany, Spain and Sweden. The cause of the rapid rise in obesity has been blamed on our modern lifestyles, including high-calorie food. Can the nation stop the unnecessary eating? And do we need to ban fast food restaurants? We can all enjoy fast food but with we should know the limits.
We should not ban fast food restaurant. Anything but banning them. It will do the same job without gathering an angry mob of angry fast food consumers. You should encourage healthy eating even more, not force it. Fast food restaurants can add more salads and make more advertisements about their salads. This way people are getting curious about the salads and maybe try one. Take a look at how much money you spent on fast food in the past month and imagine what you could have done. With that money you could have bought something that lasts longer than your urge to eat fast food. You can also order smaller sizes on the menu. And if that does not work you can always order a large size of a healthy main dish and a small size of the fattening order. Almost every fast food restaurant has an online website. Before going to the restaurant or ordering your meal you can visit the restaurant’s website and look at the nutrition facts. Chances are there is a lower-calorie version to choose from. The amazing thing about fast food is that it is just fast. Chances are, you are most tempted to indulge when you are either really hungry or in a rush. If you make your meals at home you are not tempted to eat junk food. Fast food restaurants should not be banned. People should be able to eat fast food but they also need to know when to stop. Eating fast food is not a horrible thing to do but do not do it too often. It It is ultimately your own responsibility to take care of your health. The only thing you need if you want to eat heathier is yourself.
